Question:

I purchased 2 of your universal valtera gaskets and installed one but it holds the toilet up too far and causes it to rock no matter how much I try to tighten it down. I placed the tapered part of the gasket down as I believe that was the way the old one was installed, but am not sure. My trailer is a 2016 Coachman Freedom Express 246RKS. Any help would be appreciated.

Correct, the tapered end of the Valterra RV Toilet Floor Gasket part # Q23653VP should be facing down towards the tank. In regards to the back and forth rocking, this would be hard to diagnose without seeing your particular setup but the issue could be the thickness of the floor flange or the fit of the gasket inside the floor flange in which case you would need the Replacement RV Toilet Floor Flange part # T05-0782 or part # T05-0784 as well as the Valterra RV Toilet Floor Gasket.
