Question:

Im going from the round Yakima cross bars to the aero shaped cross bars on my 2016 kia Sorento. The bars are about 3/4 inch thick and 2 1/2 inches wide. What Im try to mount are the Yakima Land shark cradles that were using 2 mounts per cradle. Can you recommend what mounts I might now be able to use?

I do have an option for you but I contacted Yakima and the Mighty Mount 39H Accessory Adapter for Yakima CoreBar and JetStream Crossbars part # Y03539 are designed specifically for Yakima CoreBar and JetStream bars so they will not fit your OEM 3/4" thick bars.

The Universal MightyMounts for Yakima Roof Mounted Accessories part # Y03590 will fit factory cross bars to adapt your accessory to the bars however, there are some Yakima accessories that are not compatible. I would need to know exactly which accessory you are trying to adapt to confirm.

Thank you for the clarification. Since you are going from the Yakima round cross bars to the Yakima JetStream aerodynamic bars on your 2016 Kia Sorento and are trying to mount the Yakima Land Shark cradles you will need the Mighty Mount 39H adapters part # Y03539. If you were going from Yakima round bars to factory aerodynamic cross bars on the 2016 Kia Sorento you would need Universal MightyMounts for Yakima Roof Mounted Accessories part # Y03590 to adapt the Land Shark cradles.
