Question:

Yakima J low racks, will not seem to fit on the Malone micro sport trailer crossbars?? We bought a Malone trailer micro sport, sadly enough the kayak racks we already own will not fit on the trailer crossbars? The site says they will fit, but we cannot get them to stay in place? any ideas?

The Malone MicroSport Trailer, part # MPG460G, has crossbars that measure 1-1/4" by 1-1/4".

The reason the Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier, part # Y04073, will not stay in place is because they generally aren't meant for such small crossbars. They are compatible with square bars, but not bars that small.

Instead, you'll need to use a different kayak carrier. I recommend the Malone J-Pro2, part # MPG117MD. It's not only confirmed to fit the MicroSport, but is even offered as a combination with it for one configuration. That configuration is part # MPG462G2.
