Why is Demco GM Rail Kit Adapter part # DM6333 Difficult to Fit Into 2020 GMC Sierra Rail Kit

Question:

Hi just received the Demco oem Raul adapter for my 2020 gmc. The Demco will not into the pucks is this normal and is grinding required in cases to get it to lineup? Seems to be off 1/16”

When installing the Demco GM Rail Kit Adapter part # DM6333 the first time you need to make a few adjustments to the pucks of the adapter to allow it to fit your rail kit. What you need to do is loosen the feet of the adapter so that they can move freely in their adjustment range, fit the adapter into the pucks of your rail kit, and then tighten them so that they are tailored to fit your rail kit as easily as possible.

I attached a picture that shows how all of this is done that I took from the install instructions. No grinding would ever be necessary.
