Replacement Atwood Water Heater # GE16TE in Motorhome

Is this a direct replacement for an Atwood 10 gal. GE16TE water heater for a 2006 Fleetwood Expedition motorhome? Thank you

The closest replacement we have for the Atwood RV Water Heater GE16-EXT is the Atwood RV Water Heater w/ Heat Exchange GCH10A-4E part # AT94023 that we offer. The GCH10A-4E has both gas and electric features just like the GE16-EXT as well as a 10 gallon capacity. However your GE16-EXT has a valve to mix in cool water so that that the 10 gallon capacity is more like 16 gallons. The GCH10A-4E however has a heat exchange that connects to RV's radiator system and heats the water as you drive.

What that means is that the GE16-EXT will provide more hot water but the GCH10A-4E will provide hot water faster.
