Does B&W Gooseneck Hitch from 2015.5 GMC Sierra 2500 fit 2019 Model
Published 10/17/2019 >
Question:
I owned a 2015.5 gmc 2500hd that was a total loss in an accident. I removed from truck and purchased the same body style but a 2019. The new truck has the bolt holes for the puck system, but my old truck didn’t. The new truck has the same holes that you have to fish the bolts through like the old truck. Can I use the same mounting system or do I have to use the new side brackets?

You do need a new B and W Companion rail kit with part # BWGNRK1016 for your 2019 Sierra 2500 because while there were some updates to the 2015.5 GMC Sierra 2500HD the updates weren't as extensive as the 2016 models which have a different setup for fifth wheel hitch rail kit installs. The older kit you have will not work in the new truck.
I attached an install video for this kit on a similar 2019 Sierra for you to check out as well.
