Will Pressure in Air Lift AL57231 Air Suspension Increase as 2019 Ram 3500 is Loaded

Question:
Is in normal for pressure in air suspension to increase after loading up 2019 Ram 3500?

Expert Reply:
What you describe is indeed normal. If the system is pressurized before the truck is loaded, adding weight will further compress the air springs thus increasing the pressure. The more weight, the more the pressure will increase.
The system lists a max air pressure of 100 lbs, but Air Lift tells us that if loading the vehicle takes the pressure over that point, the bags are designed to handle it and it shouldn't cause a problem.
If you're concerned about the increased pressure, you could put the minimum of 5 psi in the system, load the vehicle then add air. This way, you'd be sure not to exceed the recommended pressure.
