Question:
We just got a 2019 Chevy Blazer and we need a trailer hitch but I can't decide between the Curt and Draw-Tite. What do you recommend?

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch part # 76023 and the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch part # C13418 are both excellent options for a 2019 Chevrolet Blazer. I recommend going with the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch because it will be much easier to install than the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch. The Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch requires that you remove the rear bumper fascia whereas the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch just requires that you lower the exhaust. The time difference between these two install procedures is around 1:30.
The Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch also requires that you trim the rear bumper fascia whereas there is no trimming involved with the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch. They will both fit behind the rear bumper panel once installed and they are both drill free options though as stated the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch is much easier to install.
If you will be towing a trailer then you will also need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56325 for a 4-way or the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56326 for a 7-way. If the trailer has brakes then a brake controller will be needed as well for which I recommend the Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180.
