What Circuit Activates The Pre-Wired Furrion Backup Camera In Keystone Montana
Published 10/11/2019 >
Question:
Heather gave me a good answer to a previous question. Doing additional research, some Furrion owners mentioned that the rear camera is powered only when the trailer marker lights are on. So if I want the camera on full time while driving, Id always need to drive with parking lights on as a minimum? Do you know if the Montana High Country wiring provides continuous power to the camera? Is this a correct assumption?

Thank you for the positive feedback David. The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Cameras like part # FOS05TASF are activated by the running light circuit so you would need to have your running lights on to activate the camera.
However, I have heard that some pre-wired systems have the backup camera wired to a constant power source so they could monitor the outside while they were camping. This was not on a Montana though from my experience. If the newer Montana's are wired for constant power it will not hurt the cameras.
