Question:
I had base rack/ski rack for my Jetta 4 door/ diesel 1986 / - VW 3B0 071 129 UA and just want to make sure I am getting the right key as I lost it and want to sell the ski/snowboard carrier . it looks like the N082R

Yes, the lock core does look like it says N082R. The correct replacement key is Replacement Key for Thule Racks and Carriers - N082 part # THKEYN082 which will still work on your lock with the R at the end of the number according to Thule.
