Step to Help Dog Get Into Truck Bed with Tailgate Folded Down

Question:

I am looking for a step for my large dog and myself to get in and out of the back of my 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 double cab when we have a Kodak canvas truck tent set up in it. I was considering this step but wondered your recommendations. The tailgate is down and the tent covers the tailgate. I was also looking at hitch stair RHS2 with the 18 inch curt hitch extender. The steps would not remain in all the time as I use a bike rack sometimes. See photo of truck tent. Please advise.

The PortablePET Twistep Hitch Step # HE3045 would be a perfect solution for you and your dog. If you check out the picture I attached you can see that when this is extended out the step is put in a location that it will be very helpful.

Since you have a larger dog the extra step of the # RHS2 I believe wouldn't be as necessary and also this would take up quite a bit more space to store when not needed. Especially with a hitch extender as well.
