How to Determine Correct Replacement Trailer Hub and Spindle

Question:
Hello. I have an old trailer that the wheel bearing blew on one side and I need to replace the spindle and hub assembly. Only info I have is the axle measures 70 1/4 from spring seat to spring seat, and the tires are 6 lug. I don't know the weight because the tongue has been changed. This is just a yard trailer and were looking to just get it rolling. Don't really need proper brakes really we don't use brakes on it just need it to roll. Any help would be appreciated

We can get your trailer rolling again, and to get the correct replacement hub and spindle, you will just need to take a look at a couple things and get some measurements.
You will need to take apart your current hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them. If you are unable to find them, you need to use digital caliper and measure your spindle to the thousandths of an inch where the bearings and grease seal ride. You can use the photo I've attached to see exactly where you need to measure. These measurements are also going to be needed in order to get the correct spindle. I have added a link to our selection of spindles, and you will just need to match up the measurements you take to get the correct one.
Additionally, you need to know your hub's wheel bolt pattern; if you do not know what it is I have added a help article which details how you can find it, as well as a printable bolt hole template you can use.
Along with the link to our selection of spindles I have added a link to our selection of hubs and drums for you.
