Do I Need Shorter Straps or Taller Equalizer for My Trailer with Double Eye Leaf Springs

I think I need a taller equalizer that’s not as long or shorter straps for my trailer based upon this picture of my suspension. My current equalizer is 7 3/4” long.

Considering all that has been done so far, I think the first step I would take here is to go with the shorter shackle straps. If you're still getting contact with the trailer frame, I would then take a look at upgrading to a taller equalizer like the Dexter EZ-Flex # 013-144-03 or you could have the front and rear hangers cut off and welded back on 1/2" further from each other in each direction.
