Left Tail Light Is Brighter Then Right After Installing New Taillights on Triton Trailer
Updated 09/16/2019 | Published 09/14/2019 >
Question:
I replaced stop/tail lights with led and all are working. However, left tail light is brighter than right and left rear marker light is not on with vehicle lights. Also, when left turn signal is operated, left rear marker blinks with turn signal and left turn signal is flashing, but at the same brightness as tail light.

It sounds like you have a common ground issue because of the sporadic behavior of the LED lights that you have described. It is a good idea to check the grounds on the new tail lights and the trailer's main ground to make sure they are ground to a clean bare metal surface. If the tail lights ground through the mounting hardware make sure they have a good connection to the frame free of debris, rust or paint.
If checking the grounds does not fix the issue please let me know and we can troubleshoot further but it does sound like what's going on to me.
