Can you use a regular 10 inch lube plate with this?

You can absolutely use a 10" lube plate such as the Curt # 16721 with the Ram Gooseneck Coupler Adapter # KPG5-R30IP to keep the hitch head lubricated and scratch free.
You may just want to take a look at the manual for your particular 5th wheel hitch, as some will note a maximum thickness on a lube plate like this. If you can tell me what model hitch you have I can also check this for you.
