Question:

Would this be a good fit for a 1985 Dodge B350 van? Unibody construction And/or the item E-100, Curt bumper receiver? If not, what alternatives would there be, except welding on a hitch receiver? Intended here for the front of the vehicle. Picture is the front frame where the bumper is attached to. I measured it and it seems to have enough space to fit the Curt E-100 hitch receiver.

There aren't any front-mounted trailer hitch receivers that are custom designed to fit for a 1985 Dodge B350 and your bumper is not structurally strong enough to work with the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100. What that means is the only option that might work is a universal, adjustable-fit hitch such as the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" wide # 13703 or the Multi-Fit Motorhome Trailer Hitch, 24" - 46" wide # 5350 or 47" - 71" wide # 82201.

These can be drilled into your frame so you do not have to weld, but your frame needs to be within those dimensions for these hitches to fit.
