I have two options for you; a system without sway control in the Curt MV Weight Distribution System part # C17050 and a system with sway control in the Husky Center Line Weight Distribution System part # HT32216. These systems are both rated correctly for your 4,000 lbs trailer. I recommend the system with sway control as you will have stability during strong crosswinds or when large trucks pass by. It also comes with a 2-5/16" hitch ball which is what you need as I am not aware of a 2-5/8" hitch ball. If you go with the Curt MV Weight Distribution System then you also need the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball part # C40030.

So it's okay to use the Weight Distribution System that is rated for 6000lbs for a 4000lb trailer? I was told by your staff that Weight Distribution Systems were only to be used, sometimes in a tight range (for example, 5,000 lbs-6,000 lbs.) but never to be used for less than rated. I specifically called in, after a 10 minute hold, to ask this question. I too have a 4000lbs trailer but was told going "higher" was unsafe. And something to the effect that going too a higher rated system wouldn't do anything as it was rated too high (not quoting). So you are sure I can use this on a 4,000 lbs. trailer even though it is rated at 6000 lbs.? I just want to make sure since I was told otherwise by your staff. Please clear up this conflicting information. Thanks
