Converter to Allow Fridge to Draw Power from Battery or RV Service Power

I have a 1999 RV and my fridge only runs off of my battery, and it’s constantly draining it. Even when I’m plugged into a 30 amp plug. How can I switch it to AC to keep it from draining the battery?

What you'd want is a converter/smart charger like the Progressive Dynamics part # PD4060K which you'll wire your battery, RV service power supply, and fridge and it will allow you to charge the battery and draw from the RV power source when it's plugged in.

The solar panel will keep the battery from draining while sitting but if power is drawn from the battery the solar panel and charger will not be able to charge up the battery. The charger #20011 is designed for small 5 amp hour batteries in breakaway…

Essentially there isn't a difference but one part number is how you order it from Hopkins if it's in bulk (like we do) or if you are ordering it independently. So if you order the #20011 you'd get the same thing as Hopkins 20007.
