Cannot Adjust Capture Plates To 1/8 Inches On Demco Hijacker Autoslide
Question:
do they make them with longer adjusting bolts? My hitch plate is extremely narrow and have at least an 1/2 inch of clearance on each side. Directions say to adjust to within 1/8 to 1/4 inch

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches like part # DM8550034 are really only designed for pin boxes 12-14" wide. If you have a pin box that is narrower than this then the capture plate system would not be used but instead a wedge. The wedges however are pin box specific so I would need to know exactly what pin box you have in order to recommend a wedge. I have attached some options below:
Standard 5th Airborne Pin Box Wedge part # DM6026
Extended 5th Airborne Pin Box Wedge part # DM6062
Demco Glide Ride Pin Box Wedge part # DM6036
Trailair Tri-Glide Pin Box Wedge part # DM6095
