Question:
I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited Sport and want to add a 7 way trailer wire harness and trailer brake system. The Mopar trailer wire harness kit has an additional blue wire for brake controller power. Does the C51180 Echo wireless brake controller eliminate the need to run the blue wire from the Mopar harness to the brake controller? In other words, would my system be complete by installing the Mopar wire harness and purchasing your C51180 brake controller? Thanks!

The blue wire on the harness you speak of would be ran to the passenger cab to carry the output from the under dash mounted brake controller to the trailer connector. The Curt Echo # C51180 works wirelessly, so that connection is not needed. Other than the turn signal circuits, the only other connection needed would be a circuit protected 12-volt run from the vehicle battery. This run should be protected by a 30 amp breaker or fuse. I'm not sure what Mopar charges for their trailer connector/harness, but I'd be willing to bet that our # ETBC7L is less expensive and would do the same exact thing for you.
Our harness gets access to the lighting circuits via an existing 4-pole trailer wiring harness (I don't know which Mopar Harness you're speaking of, so I couldn't say whether it would provide that provision). If there isn't one installed already, you'd need part # 118786. I've linked you to some installation videos that you might find helpful.
