The Trailer Aid you have now is similar to our Andersen Rapid Jack part # AM3620 which is used to easily jack up a trailer by rolling a good wheel and tire onto it and then having the wheel that needs to be replaced suspended in the air high enough to change it.
The Trailer Aid isn't as tall as some of the other similar ramp jacks like this I could see it not being able to get the flat wheel/tire high enough off the ground. Are you fully on the ramp and on level ground? Is the trailer sitting level too? If it's not level I could see that not allowing the bad wheel/tire to not be high enough.
