Hey Jesse, since you have a Dexter 12k axle you would need the Kodiak disc brake kit part # KD87FR for the brake components and then for an idler hub you'd need the part # 8-214-8UC1 which the disc brake kit would slip over. Are there hydraulic brakes on the trailer currently or are they electric? If hydraulic what type of actuator does the trailer have?

It has electric brakes currently. What actuator do I need and do I need to purchase my own brake lines?

@JesseN You would want a kit like the part # CAR-HBA16-2 which comes with everything else needed to install disc brakes on your trailer. It comes with the best actuator, the needed brake lines for a tandem axle trailer and also a breakaway kit.

Will a standard hub that comes with electric brakes be comparable with this kit? Since it is removable from the drum?

@Austin What do you mean by comparable? Like same braking strength?

@Austin oh compatible duh lol. If it's a hub/drum it won't work but if it's an idler hub the kit would slip over it.
