Based on my research your 2017 Kia Soul has a digital odometer and our understanding is that newer vehicles that have a digital odometer will not rack up miles. To flat tow your '17 Soul you will need a number of parts:

- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-522115-5

- Safety Chains: RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643

- Supplemental Braking System: SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 with Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400
