From the measurements that you gave me the LED Trailer Tail Light with License Plate Bracket # 328-003-81LBM1 is exactly what you are needing to upgrade to an LED light. It measures 8-11/16" long x 5-1/2" tall (including license plate mounting bracket) x 2" deep and has mounting dimensions of 7-3/16" x 2-9/16". I have attached a photo with these dimensions for you to reference.
If you haven't already upgraded your passenger side tail light you can get it with part # 328-003-81BM1.
