Question:

I have a 2017 Ram 1500 Crew Cab with 5'7" bed, spray in bed liner and plastic covers on sides, no ram boxes. Already have an over the side tonneau cover but we recenting got into kayaking and need a truck rack to carry the 12+ ft. kayak we have. I am looking for a rack that can carry 3 kayaks and a preffered soft rollup tonneau cover.

For your 2017 Ram 1500, I recommend using the Adarac Aluminum Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # A4001235 with the Access TonnoSport Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover part # A22040169. This tonneau cover and ladder rack are actually designed specifically to be used with one another because of how they mount. The ladder rack is also ideal for kayaks because it has channels in the top which allow you to use a channel mounted kayak carrier. The square crossbars would be too large for most wraparound style carriers which is why this is important.

For a kayak carrier, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Nautic Stack Kayak Carrier part # RRS520. However, you will also need the Rhino-Rack Cam Buckle Cinch Straps part # RRRTD45P for the third kayak. In regards to price and functionality, the above three parts will be the best option you have to carry multiple kayaks on your Ram 1500.
