Question:

my receiver hitch on 2003 greyhawk is rated for 3500 pounds I tow a Chevy spark weight about 2400 pounds which adapter to use in order to add a bike rack it says drops towing by 50 please explain?? And just to add I ordered the blue ox plate and tow bar and a wiring kit all worked just fantastic thank you...

A hitch adapter will cut the tongue weight capacity of a hitch by 50 percent but not the overall towing capacity. So when you use a dual hitch adapter like the Roadmaster part # RM-077-2 that you referenced you still will have the capacity to flat tow your Chevy Spark. The upper hitch opening of this will easily be able to carry a bike rack as well.

When it comes to a bike rack I prefer to go with platform style racks like the Hollywood Racks Bike Rack # HR200Z as they hold the bikes up a bit higher and out of the way and also the do a better job reducing movement between the bikes.
