Along with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1716 and the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Tow Bar # BX7380 there are a couple more parts you need in order to safely flat tow your 2016 Cadillac Escalade.
Since the Alpha comes with safety chains we can check that off the list but you will also need a wiring kit in order to activate your Escalade's brake lights and turn signals. For that the best option is the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267, or you can simply add magnetic tow lights, the Hopkins Magnetic Tow Lights - Red LEDs - 4-Way Flat Connector - Wireless # C6304 or Peterson Magnetic Tow Lights - Red LED - 4-Way Flat Connector # PE26UR. Since your Escalade's battery needs to be disconnected when you flat tow you will also need the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect # RM-766.
You will need a supplemental braking system in order to activate your Escalade's brakes when you hit your RV's brakes, and for this the best options are the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251, or if your motor home has air brakes the SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motor Homes with Air Brakes # SM99243.
You may also need a high-low adapter in order to keep your Escalade level, and I've added a link to a help article which shows you how to determine if you need an adapter as well as a link to our selection of adapters.
