Updated 04/28/2026 | Published 06/24/2019

Question:

I found the factory brake control wiring under the left kick panel/ floor Problem is their is no power coming through the white blue wire from the brake light switch, the other 3 wires seem to work just fine You can work the brake control manually, just no operation from the pedal

Check to see if the third brake light of your 2019 Chevy Traverse is still working like it should. It's possible the third brake light fuse went out and now the stoplight circuit of the brake controller wiring is now not active either. This a common problem on GM vehicles.

I'm having this issue but the 3rd brake light is working fine. Is there any other common known issue?

@Jose there's no other common issues but I would check fuse box for any brake controller wiring fuses.

@JamesonC I just did, all fuses are ok. Do you think the a wire broken could be the issue?

@Jose Yeah that's definitely possible. It's not super easy to track down.
