I have a new trailer with a rubberized roof. Will the Valtera cleaner be good for providing a protective barrier on new roofs.

The Valterra RV Rubber Roof Cleaner part # V88548 is more a cleaner and conditioner than a protective barrier because it requires an immediate rinse.
I recommend to use Griot's Garage Rubber Cleaner part # 34911136 to clean the roof. After cleaning the rubber roof spray it with Griot's Garage Vinyl and Rubber Dressing part # 34910981 to add a protective film that resists wear and blocks the UV rays.
