Question:
My Travel Trailer Gross Weight 7950 lbs. What hitch do I need for my 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The highest rated hitch that fits your 2002 Chevy Tahoe is part # 14080 that's rated for up to 10,000 pounds so it's the one I recommend for you.
I also recommend verifying the towing capacity of the Tahoe itself. I looked at an online copy of the owner's manual and on page 4-59 it starts to list the capacities. From what I found the only model capable of towing your trailer at its maximum weight is the 4-wheel drive model if you have the 5300 V8 and 4.10 axle ratio.
If you find you can tow the trailer and need wiring as well I recommend part # C59236. You'll also need a ball mount and hitch ball. We carry a kit, part # 989900, which may work for you.
