Question:

Good evening! I recently purchased a kayak and am looking for a roof rack system that will fit my 2015 Mini Cooper Hardtop 2 door w/hatchback and naked roof. Nothing says adventure like a Mini with a kayak on it! I had initially been looking at the Yakima Q tower system but it seems the clips I would need Q128 are no longer produced and I cant find them for sale anywhere. I was wondering if this ROLA system would work? I see I would need clips/fit kit. A competitors website indicated that this system would work, however you guys are selling it for a bit cheaper. I just wanted to confirm with someone before making the purchase. Or if you have any suggestions for a system that would fit I would certainly appreciate any help! Thank you for your time!

While we don't have a Rola roof rack confirmed as a fit for your 2015 Mini Cooper with a hardtop I do have a great economically priced option that is a confirmed fit and would work great for carrying a kayak.

For that I'd recommend the Inno roof rack part numbers # INB117, # INSUT, and # INK463. This a square bar roof rack that is custom fit for your vehicle that comes with all of the needed components to fit.

Then for a kayak carrier the Yakima JayLow part # Y04073 is a really great option. It fits the Inno rack, is padded, and can fold down when not in use.
