Question:

Hi! Can you tell me the parts I would need to upgrade the mounting hardware on a Thule Adventurer cargo box? I’d like to use the quick release clamps instead, if possible. Also I got the Adventurer box used and it didn’t come with a key for the two locks. Can this be ordered separately? Thanks

Yes, the Replacement EasySnap Mounting Kit part # TH05820 will fit your Thule Adventurer 650 Cargo Box but you might need to drill one new hole for each of the u-bolts but this will not affect anything with the box and it will be your only option if you want to upgrade the hardware. The old holes if need to be drilled can be covered with the Replacement Vinyl Hole Covers part # 10171.

In regards to the replacement key, all you would need to do is read the lock core number on the lock core and then search our site for "THKEYN###" with the ### being the lock core number. For example, the Replacement Key for Thule and Sportrack Racks and Carriers part # THKEYN061 works with a lock core that has either "N061" or just "610" stamped into it.
