How To Stop EasySnap Brackets From Sliding On Thule Cascade XT Cargo Box
Updated 07/16/2024 | Published 10/31/2019 >
Question:
I recently purchased a used Thule Cascade XT carrier with the quick snap mounting for my 2016 Subaru Forester. I havent actually put it on my vehicle yet but the U locks do fit on my cross bars, my issue was that all of the quick snap mounts slide as its universal fit but how do i lock them in place once its on my vehicle? It seems like they will just slide around on top of my vehicle. Thanks

I have attached a photo for you that shows how to stop the brackets from sliding within the channel on a Thule Cascade XT Cargo Box. As you can see, there is a lever on the actual bracket which will stop it from sliding within the track once you line up the u-bolts. If the brackets do not stop sliding then they will need to be replaced for which we have the Replacement EasySnap Mounting Kit part # TH05820.
We also have the Replacement Plastic Strip For Thule Cargo Boxes part # TH05308 if needed.

This sounds like something happening to me. I think this may be related to having a rack bar that it too small (in height) to properly engage the clamp. Anyone know the minimum?
