Will this Thule 2 bike carrier work on a 2005 Volvo S60R . I AM READING THAT ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE SAYING THAT ITS LEAVING DENTS IN THERE BUMPERS ?

The Thule OutWay platform rack, # TH65JV, is listed as a fit for a 2005 Volvo S60. This rack is heavy, about 28 pounds, and when loaded to its 66 pound capacity, that would be about 100 pounds on the bumper of a vehicle. While it will technically fit, it is more suited for a vehicle that has a metal mounting surface for the bottom legs because this much weight can dent thinner composite materials.

For a 2 bike rack I recommend going with the OutWay hanging style rack, # TH45JV. This rack still holds 2 bikes, but it is much lighter, at only 13 pounds. We have not had any complaints about this rack denting vehicles. This rack is also very easy to install and remove. It is faster and easier to install than any other trunk mount rack I have seen. The OutWay also comes with locks for both the rack and the bikes to deter theft. Other carriers require these to be purchased separately.

If you will be carrying women's, children's, or alternative frame bikes, I recommend the bike adapter bar, # TH982XT, in order to carry the bikes more level. I have included a link to a video that shows how the adapter works.
