Is the solar controller that comes with this unit waterproof?

The controller of the solar panel kit you mentioned is considered weatherproof. I wouldn't let the controller of the Go Power Portable Solar System with Digital Solar Controller # 34282729 get submerged in water but it would withstand rain. You'd want to use your best judgment when mounting the controller to limit exposure to rain if at all possible just to be on the safer side. It's mounted on the underside of the panel which helps limit water exposure.
