Wiring Harness for a 2008 BMW X5

Question:
I have a 2008 BMW X5 4.8i. What is the difference between the BMW trailer wiring harness $235 and the Hardwire modulite that you sell? the BMW harness wires into several connectors and computers. What am I negating by using your part?

Any time you purchase an OEM part from the dealer/factory, products are typically more expensive than going with an aftermarket item. If the harness available is a plug in harness, that is a benefit verses having a hardwired kit such as part # C59496 where the wires are spliced in. If you are looking for a more reasonable price to wire the vehicle, then an aftermarket hardwire kit would be the best option.
The vehicle will function properly with both wiring harness, but at this time we do not have a plug in model available for your vehicle.
