Question:
I have 2018 forest river grey wolf dry weight 5065 and gross around 7400 and I’m towing it with 2008 Infiniti QX56 . Which you guys recommend: Tekonsha ProdigyP3 or Curt Spectrum 51170 and why? Thank you ! Tambet

Helpful Expert Reply:
Both the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 with the Adapter # 3050-P and the Curt Spectrum # C51170 with the Adapter # C51382 are excellent brake controllers and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either one for you to use with your 2008 Infiniti QX56. Even though they are both electric brake controllers the P3 is more of a traditional controller while the Spectrum is a new style of brake controller. Ultimately I recommend going with the Spectrum over the P3 because you can install it just about anywhere in your QX56 and the control knob looks like it belongs in most modern vehicles. Instead of trying to remember codes or read a screen you use the various lights on the control knob to adjust settings and to help you troubleshoot.
If you already have a factory 7-Way on your QX56 then you shouldn't need anything another than the controller and the corresponding adapter. If you don't already have a 7-Way then you'll also need the Kit # N40975.
Attached are installation instructions and review videos for you to reference.
