Where Do Wires of Hopkins Breakaway Charger # 20011 Go To
Updated 05/20/2019 | Published 05/18/2019 >
Question:
Does the blue wire on charger connect to the blue or black wire on breakaway switch? Ive several questions regarding this subject but all the experts say is to connect the blue wire to the breakaway switch but do not specify which wire, black or blue? I watched the informative installation video but the narrator was very vague when it came to which wire to connect to on breakaway switch. It looked like he connected it to the black wire and not the blue wire but it was difficult to see.

For the breakaway batter charger part # 20011 that you referenced the black wire would get connected to the vehicle battery to get the charge, the red wire is the wire that gets connected to the battery in the break-away kit on the trailer, and the blue wire is the wire that gets connected to the actual break-away switch.
I attached an install video link for this for you to check out as well.
