Can the Curt ATV Cargo Carrier C18101 Be Mounted with the Open End Facing Back
Updated 05/08/2019 | Published 05/07/2019 >
Question:
Do you see any issues with mounting the carrier backward? In other words, I want the open end to the back because I want to secure my sprayer to the rack and it has boom sprayers on it that would conflict with the raised portion or closed end of the rack

I spoke with Curt about the Curt ATV Cargo Carrier part # C18101 and they did not see any issues in using the carrier so that the opening faces away from the ATV. However, the mounting holes used to mount the carrier are located near the open section so you would need to have a pretty large rack in order to position the carrier back far enough for there to be something to grab onto. If all else fails you can just make your own mounting holes or find a way to attach it with the open end facing the rear of your ATV. There won't be any strength issues so long as you don't exceed your racks capacity.
