2011 5.3 Silverado 2wd 3.42 6 speed Run a little hot towing 5200 lb. Trailer up steep hills 235 degrees 185 to 220 normal trailer pull Currently have KNP auxiliary external transmission cooler. Would like to replace this one with larger more efficient Derale 25-Row, High-Performance, Stacked-Plate Cooler with -6 AN Fittings - Class V Item # D52506 1. Can I do this replace not use together? 2. Does this kit include everything needed for an easy swap over ?

The Derale high-efficiency Class V stacked plate transmission cooler # D52506 can replace your current cooler as long as you have the space for mounting it (it measures 13W x 9-3/16 x 2). This cooler will work well as a replacement for the KNP and will provide better cooling. You can install it with the 6AN fittings facing in any direction.
The kit includes just the core and the aluminum 6AN fittings. If you need to connect to hose barb oil lines you can use
6 AN Female Swivel Fitting # D98200 which converts the 6AN to a 3/8-inch hose barb. If you need additional fluid line you can use # D13016 (5-feet) or # D13017 (25-feet).
