Question:
As stated, I have the 2013 Yukon Denali with the 6.2l engine and 6 speed trans. I am towing a 7500 lb. trailer and have been seeing temps in the 205 deg F range, towing uphill in Tow/Haul at 65mph at 65 deg F ambient. I called Derale and they recommended the 51906 cooler, but were zero help on how to get it connected to my vehicle. 1 do you agree that this cooler will fit/work with my vehicle 2 I assume that we cut the rubber sections of the factory hard lines and do a barb/barb rubber hose connection??? I have no idea what the ID of the factory rubber line is. Do you and and can you set me up with the parts I need to do this in one go? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Derale Stacked Plate Transmission Cooler part # D51906 is one of the most efficient transmission coolers out there so this would be an excellent option that would work great. With that said you'll want the version of this that comes with the install kit part # D13403. You will need the hose fitting adapter part # D13035 that you referenced as well. This allows you to easily plumb into the factory transmission cooler lines.
I attached an install video that shows how the adapter is used to connect to your radiator.
