Switching From a Lippert Triple Step to Quad Step

Question:

My travel trailer has a 3 step pull out. I am looking for a 4 step. The Lippert manual pull out 8inch /rise 26wide is what I have found. Question: would this step work for the measurements of my old ones at 7 1/2inch /rise and 24inch wide? The base measurements are the same.

There are two things that you need to know to choose the correct set of steps for your trailer and that is the distance between your two outrigger brackets and the threshold height of your doorway. The issue you will run into is that most triple step options like use a 25-1/2" wide mounting bracket whereas most quad step options use a 27-1/2" wide mounting bracket.

With that being said, we do have one quad step option that uses a 25-1/2" wide mounting bracket and that is the TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps part # TLA8104 which will work with threshold height of 32-1/2" - 44".
