Weight Capacity of Curt Pintle Hook C48231

Question:
I ordered this hitch and just opened the box. Are you guys sure these 4 bolts of 1/2 inch in diameter is large enough to have a weight rating of 60k?? Seems kinda sketchy and i dont think id pull a trailer anywhere near 30 tons with 4 bolts , 1/2 inch bolts connecting it to my truck. Also “made in china” on the box isnt helping my confidence at all

The Curt Pintle Hook # C48231 is indeed rated for 60K GTW and 12K vertical load. I confirmed these specs with Curt.
Those are high weight ratings but keep in mind that the nature of a pintle hook, which has a large amount of flat steel surface area to couple to the mount, disperses that load across many square inches. Plus, this hook's Grade 8 hardware is stronger than the Grade 5 hardware used for most standard bumper hitches.
