For your 2017 Kia Soul with 6 speed manual transmission, you will need to put the transaxle shift lever in neutral and set the ignition switch in the ACC position according to your owners manual. You will also need all of the appropriate flat towing components.

I recommend starting with the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-522115-4 and then use the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch - 6,000 lbs # RM-520 with safety cables # RM-643.

Then for your tow bar wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which will use your factory lights and wiring while protecting your vehicle electronics. I also recommend using the battery charge line # RM-156-25 to maintain your Kia battery while towing. You will also need the Brake Relay # RM-88400 to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.

For your supplemental braking I recommend the Roadmaster InvisiBrake # RM-8700. This kit will install with the box out of the way with no adjustment needed after initial installation. You can simply plug in your vehicle and you are good to go.
