Troubleshooting Furrion Vision S Side Camera w/ Marker Light that Won't Activate
Updated 04/22/2019 | Published 04/20/2019 >
Question:
Hi I purchased the above and installed as instructed but it does not come on, even with all the other marker light on. I tested the hot and ground on the camera, I even reinstalled the old marker light, works fine. But when I put the above camera in its place, connecting the trigger and hot wire to the RV hot wire and the ground to the ground, nothing. Thinking it might be a camera/marker light problem, I connected it to my portable battery pack and it worked fine. I have a 2019 Forest River Wildcat RV.

Does your running light circuit currently have quite a few lights on it? Sounds like maybe the circuit is being overdrawn currently and there's not enough power left to operate the cameras. Since you know the circuit is active and you've also tested the camera to verify that it is also active that basically narrows down the problem to being related to not enough power to run the cameras. To easily test this you might try disconnecting the grounds of a few of the other lights on this circuit on your trailer to see if that allows the cameras to then come on.
