I did some checking and it looks like your 2016 Jeep Rengade can be towed with a tow dolly like the Roadmaster part # RM-2050-1 only if it's front wheel drive. It cannot be flat towed with all 4 wheels down in any configuration.

Dolly towing has advantages over flat towing. The price is typically less especially when you consider install for the flat towing parts and it's easier to use a tow dolly with a new vehicle since you don't have to buy any additional parts or install anything new.

If you have a 4 wheel drive model though the only option would be on a trailer.
