Recommendation to Replace iRV Stereo on Forest River RV
Updated 08/10/2020 | Published 04/15/2019 >
Question:
We have a 2015 Forest River product equipped with an IRV 33. Just out of storage the radio started working then the speakers all went out. Went to the FR club forum and it appears there were many problems with the 33. Is this a more reliable unit than what we currently have.

The iRV RV Stereo # 292-101079 that you referenced is a really nice unit that will work well to replace your iRV33 model as long as its 9 inch long, 5 inch tall, and 5 inch deep mounting dimensions line up to your cutout.
I reached out to my contact at iRV and he said that they have not had any problems with this or any current generation stereos with regards to the speaker output going out. He did say that their current return rate for all of their iRV models is less than 2 percent so this should hopefully put your mind at ease that you will be receiving a reliable product.
My contact also said that a better option to replace the iRV33 will actually be with the iRV34, simply because it was designed to be a direct replacement. This means it will fit your existing mounting space perfectly. The stereo has a nice dual-zone output, a sleek LED display, and app control with iPhone 4S/Android 4.3 and above smart phones.

Is there anyway to connect my existing Sirius XM radio to this unit, without plugging the cable into the front of the iRV RV Stereo radio?
