Any issues I need to look at if I get the BandW 20k Slider hitch w/Rails for a 2018 Ram 3500 4x4 Short Box Bed with the Factory air bags? No factory prep with the OEM pucks ???? (Ram Box) Have a 39 ft 5ver Heartland Big Country

I do have an option for you but because of the RamBox feature on your 2018 Ram 3500, the B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3400 will not work for you. The reason being is because it cannot be used with a rotating pin box which is needed to prevent the pinbox from coming into contact with the bedsides.

In order to tow a 5th wheel trailer with your truck you will need to use a fixed hitch with a rotating pin box. For a fixed hitch I recommend using the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30928 along with the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50085-58. The Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch has single-jaw which grips the kingpin tightly and it comes with a lifetime warranty.

The correct rotating pin box for your Heartland Big Country is most likely part # RP34FR or part # RP61422. However, trailer manufacturers do not provide us with exact pin box information therefore the only way you are going to be able to confirm the correct replacement is to either call the trailer manufacturer with your VIN and ask or look for the pin box number on the pin box you have now. If you provide me with either of these numbers I would be happy to do the leg work for you as well.

Please note that you'll also need the Reese Wedge Kit # RP44FR to go along with your # RP30928 to prevent the king pin from pivoting in the jaws of your hitch.
