Will this hitch work on an aluminum flatbed

The B&W Companion Flatbed # BWRVK3050 referenced in your question is designed to work with the B&W Flatbed Turnoverball # BWGNRK1500. In order to use the Companion the gooseneck hitch must first be installed.
I spoke with my contact at B&W regarding the ability to install the gooseneck hitch on an aluminum flatbed like yours. He said that because the hitch gets welded to the bottom of the bed, you would just need to fabricate some kind of steel surface under the bed to which the hitch could be welded.
In this instance you would need to make sure that the recessed gooseneck ball is then no more than 4 inches deep on the bed for the Companion to securely attach.
