Will the Furrion RV Observation Camera System Work with the Aluminum Body on a 2018 Ford F-250

Question:

I know my Jayco Eagle is prewired for Furion camera systems. With our previous aluminum sided RV we had a lot of problems with interference, going down the road but not going slow in the campgrounds. Now we dont have an aluminum sided RV but we have a fully aluminum truck instead. ! Are we going to have problems with interference again? On our old rig setup we had the camera running all the time to monitor the 2nd trailer sailboat behind the 5th wheel. We like that feature best. The Ford Sync we have has the top-of-cab and tailgate backup camera links prewired but only for when transmission is in reverse. Also we have on hand our old 2013 wired 7inch TFT LCD color monitor setup for 2 camera inputs, from our old system that we liked a lot. Can the old monitor be used again? What system do you recommend for these parameters? wireless with no interference problems 2 camera views if possible but not essential old monitor still useable? cheaper than

I spoke to my contact at Furrion about the Furrion RV Observation Camera System w/ Monitor and Bracket part # FOS05TASF and they stated that you may have interference issues with the aluminum body on your 2018 Ford F-250. They did not report of any issues with this but it is a possibility. Unfortunately, that is just the nature of a wireless camera system. It will be the same for the Furrion RV Observation Camera System w/ Monitor and Bracket as it would with any other wireless camera system for that matter.

The above monitor will allow you to add up to three cameras. For this, we have the Furrion Vision S Side Camera w/ Marker Light Bracket part # FCE48TASL. I am not sure which monitor you have now as the 7" Furrion monitor was just released last year but if you have a Furrion monitor then it can be used with either of the above cameras.
